History
Apart from a ski destination, 3-5 Pigadia and Koutsoufliani are also traditional destinations for the preparation of football teams. The football stories of the 80’s and 90’s have written about the preparations of the National Team of Greece and Panathinaikos at the famous 3-5 Pigadia lodge and of Olympiacos at the Naousa Hotel! The perfect conditions at an altitude of 1250-1420 with the 4 hotels with their own fields within walking distance make the Vermio region a first in the preference of teams for their summer preparations and friendly games.
In the late 1990s the first children’s football tournaments began. After a round and various organizers, in 2014 began a new endeavor with the collaboration of Explosivo Travel specialist and sports centers. The goal is to create and establish a quality tournament specializing in each age category. 10-11TH YEAR
The catastrophic fire at the Akroion Hotel on March 18, 2023 forces us to cancel the 2023-2024 events and re-plan next year’s event with love, care and patience.
Our thoughts to our partner Mr. Hatziioannidis Dimitris and his family, with whom we started the effort for the Vermio Soccer Festival in June 2014.

9TH YEAR
Leaving behind us the last restrictions of the covid19 pandemic, 44 teams of northern Greece participated in the two tournaments of U10, U11, U12 & U14 age groups.

8TH YEAR, THE RESTART
So we restart! After a special and difficult season, 35 groups of teams from northern Greece participated in the two tournaments of the U10, U12 & U14 age groups.
2020
7TH YEAR, CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
The event, scheduled for June 2020, has been canceled due to preventive measures to combat the covid-19 pandemic.
2019
6TH YEAR, CHANGES IN THE AGE CATEGORIES
In 2019 we proceeded to changing the age categories in order to comply with the changes of the Greek Football Federation. The age categories have now changed to U8 | U10 | U12 | U14 & U16. Fullness continues to hit 100% with 88 segments of all ages.
2018
5TH YEAR, NEW CATEGORY AND NEW FRIENDS
In 2018 we proceed further with the organization of the U13 (9vs9) και U11 tournaments, in a 3-day (2 nights) period with the fullness still hitting 100%! Our sponsors grew with the addition of the company Monte Noulikas.
2017
4TH YEAR, ESTABLISHMENT AND 100% FULLNESS
2017 is the year with the best organization, with team entries closing one month before each tournament and fullness fluctuating close to 100%. The Municipality of Naoussa and Souroti INC were firmly on the side of the organization.
2016
3RD YEAR WITH THE BIGGEST FULLNESS
The entries exceeded all expectations with academy entries from all over Greece. It is noteworthy that in the period 23-26 / 6, besides the academies of Northern Greece, we were honored by academies from Michigan America, Cyprus, and also from Andros, Lefkada, Komotini, Kavala and other places.
The Municipality of Naoussa is added to the supporters of the event.
2015
2ND YEAR WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATIONS
In June 2015 the first international U11 & U13 categories with teams from Cyprus and Skopje make their appearance. 4 periods took place with the fullness going up and Vermio Soccer Festival comming back on the map as one of the most organized children's tournaments.
